We’re thrilled to share that Cory Jones, expedition leader and co-founder of Wee Wild Adventures, has been invited to join the global TRAK Kayaks Test Pilot team and be a Test Pilot for TRAK Folding Kayaks.
Known for his love of remote journeys and technical expertise in the outdoors, Cory’s been guiding kayak expeditions for over 25 years. From the vast waterways of the Yukon to coastal paddling in Scotland, and from Alpine rivers to Antarctic shores, he brings a lifetime of paddling experience to the TRAK test team. He’s also paddled among orcas and humpback whales off Vancouver Island, explored the remote waters of Baja Mexico, and led sea kayaking trips in the Philippine Island archipelagos.
TRAK’s folding kayaks are engineered for performance and adventure travel—perfect for the kind of exploratory, go-anywhere trips we specialise in. The TRAK 2.0 Kayak is a 16-foot portable sea kayak that packs down into a bag you can carry on your back or check on a plane. Despite this portability, it performs like a traditional hard-shell kayak, with solid tracking, responsiveness, and a unique adjustable rocker system to match the water conditions. That makes it ideal for multi-day adventures where access, weight, and flexibility matter.
As a test pilot, Cory is trialling the latest TRAK 2.0 models in real-world conditions and feeding back to the TRAK design team, helping refine the performance of these innovative craft. It’s a chance to blend product testing with real adventure—just the kind of thing we live for at Wee Wild Adventures.
